We are making our marks, beautiful curves, graceful arcs,
in the freshly fallen snow.
Within minutes, new snow will cover our work,
as if we'd never been here.
Words written of our art, photos of it, even our memories,
are themselves easily lost.
Yet, you, Lord, are everlasting.
If you remember our works, how can they vanish?
If you delight in what we do, even the momentary is forever.
