At every Christmas pageant,
young angelic heralds
repeat the lines they learned.
“Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be for all people.”
Shepherds abiding in the fields
were the first to hear the words.
If shepherds listened, so might we.
The tidings are good!
The joy is great!
