Good Lord, teach us to love all who drive:
the red-light runners and the slow pokes,
the madly dashing last-minute heroes
straining to save seconds,
hopelessly distracted cell-phone callers,
the drunk, the stoned, and the merely oblivious,
the nearly blind, and the over-confident.
Teach us to see ourselves in them.
